General Disclaimer

EyeOnOconee is a public information site that aggregates publicly available GIS data, maps, and news coverage related to development in Oconee County, South Carolina. All materials are presented for informational and educational purposes only. EyeOnOconee makes no representations or warranties regarding accuracy, completeness, or currentness of data or external links.

[1] Data Sources

GIS layers originate from Oconee County and Pickens County open-data portals, the South Carolina Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Office, and other publicly available government or educational sources. Parcel boundaries, ownership, and acreage are approximate and may not reflect recent transactions or annexations. Coloring of specific parcels was done by layer filter and style changes by EyeOnOconee. GIS map images and legends were created by EyeOnOconee using the GIS Mapping service "print" function. The GIS mapping service used by EyeOnOconee is at https://www.arcgis.com.

[2] Mapping Accuracy

Map layers shown on EyeOnOconee are simplified for clarity and visual context. Boundaries may contain minor distortions due to projection, coordinate conversion, or filtering. Coloring of parcels was done by filtering and styling in the GIS map system. Always verify with official county GIS departments before making decisions based on map data.

News articles, photographs, and videos linked from this site remain the property of their original publishers. Links are provided to present coverage and do not imply endorsement or agreement by EyeOnOconee.

Map data from Oconee County GIS and Pickens County GIS open-data portals in October 2025. Subsequent maps may reference newer dates if additional datasets are incorporated.

The data, maps, links, reported news and the EyeOnOconee site are not living documents. They are taken at a point in time and might never be updated. Review the original source site to find any updates or corrections to articles, maps, social media, etc.

[8] AI Sidekick

EyeOnOconee does not employ or hire professional programmers or illustrators. AI is used for many tasks. If you have experience with AI you may have noticed that you seldom get exactly what you ask for. Extra stuff gets added to illustrations and code that EyeOnOconee may miss during review.
